- This dining set is in overall good vintage condition with signs of wear consistent with its age. The chairs have light stains and marks on fabric. There is one small chip in the resin on the inside of the table. See photos for details. This table is in good vintage condition overall; however, there is a known and consistent structural characteristic inherent to these Adrianne Pearson “Goop” tables that should be noted. The internal cross-support beam beneath the top is not rigidly fixed (as designed), which allows for slight movement when the table is handled or lifted improperly. As a result, there are visible hairline stress cracks in the goop surface along the line of this internal support. These cracks are cosmetic in nature and do not affect the usability of the table under normal conditions. However, care should be taken when moving the piece—specifically, the table should always be lifted evenly from both sides to avoid additional stress. This condition has been observed consistently across multiple examples of this model and appears to be a result of the original construction method.
