This is a stunning Italian ceramic “Venus” Bitossi table lamp designed by Aldo Londi circa 1960s. It features a black wooden base, large ceramic body with the Venus symbol etched in throughout finished in a dark brown and dark green glaze. There is no shade but a nice brass finial tops this amazing lamp.

This lamp is in well used vintage condition. There are scuffs and scrapes along the wooden base at the bottom. There are some marks and crackling throughout the body of the lamp, but due to the way it is finished, it is hard to tell if those happened during the firing or at a later time. This lamp does currently work, but as with all vintage lamps, we recommend rewiring it with modern equipment. There is no makers mark. Please see photos for full condition details.
