Large Abstract Red and Gold Painting

This painting seems to be fairly old, perhaps from the mid 20th century guessing 60’s 70’s. It features lava-like shapes and colors. There seems to be intentional chipping throughout revealing various shades of blue and purple underneath. The artist and the date are unknown.
