Edward Wormley
Edward Wormley Furniture: Sophisticated American Modernism. Edward J. Wormley (1907–1995) was one of the most influential American furniture designers of the mid-20th century. Born in Illinois, he briefly studied at the Art Institute of Chicago before beginning his career as an interior designer. In 1931, he joined Dunbar Furniture in Berne, Indiana, quickly rising to Director of Design and shaping the company’s output for over three decades.
